Red Headed cichlid digging

I added 5 more pounds of black sand to tone down all the white in my tank, a new black back ground and moved the rocks and sand a bit, as soon as I was doen it went to town digging in 2 spots going back and forth I have noticed some small piles here and there but have yet to see it act like this, normal? or did I just piss it off? lol

When I got home several hours later one of the rocks near all the digging was almost totally buried

still at it too, the pile has grown and the rock is completely buried now haha
