I've seen a red high fin wolffish at my LFS, for £40 at 3" How big do they get? And could it live on it's own in a 2x1x1 or a 2x15x15 for life, or a long time? Thanks, this thread is just about interest i don't own the fish or anything.
they get 20 / 25 cms...beautifull fish. Profoundly uninteresting. Lays low, does very little, shoots up for food.
Will eat anything smaller.
You want a decent, up and about wolf, look for a golden one, Holperythrinus Multitaeniatus...
Those are a bit bigger ( 40 cms ), albeit smaller than Hoplias, swim around and one can actually see them and their bulldoguish demeanor, up and about in the tank....
