I have had these 6 Red Hooks for about 3 months. They have been doing well other than they are looking really beat up. They have no tank mates and are about 5-6". They are in a 100 gallon to tank. There is two rocks in the tank, was wondering if maybe they are getting scraped up on it. Thanks for the help.

I don't think that the rock is causing that much damage.I have five red hooks if my own which range from three to four and a half inches. They are in a much smaller tank than yours are in they don't bother each other at all.....odd situation you have there.

They are probably just picking on each other, maybe get some more to diffuse agression or add some other fish so they become interested

I'd say get more. Mine used to fight and it'd look like my niece just put silver sparkles in my tank lol

I am going to put them in with my bass as soon as they get a little bigger. I will see if I can find a smaller bass or two to put in with them.

What type of bass, but that should work
I have one Kelberi 15" and one Temensis 16" that I put them in with as soon as they are a little bigger ( not quite sure how big they will need to be?) But I would like to get another Kelberi and an Azul. So I could buy those smaller and put in with the Red Hooks. I also currently have a Ripsaw and Irwini that are in quarantine right now.
