Red House Brick!

Hi. I have some of these laying around and was wondering whether they would be safe to use in my aquaterrarium? I was planning on using them as a ledge for my crab and also to separate the land from the water. What do you guys think, safe or not safe?

I thought they would be but I hear the modern bricks are made with calcite or something, so had to double check first; don't want to kill off my new vampire crab lol.

ive put red bricks in friends tanks. and they are running fine. what you could do if your worried is use small clay pots, just line the wall with half pieces of them and fill with substrate.

Ahh now that's an idea I could even use a rectangular clay pot, maybe turned upside down with substrate on it. Thanks

Another quick question. I have a tiny amount of java moss in my tank but after researching the crabs I have read of people putting normal, outdoor moss; the stuff from their gardens,etc in to their vivariums, is this safe? lol
