Red Isletas

Is there anything else in the tank? If not, keep an eye out on the smaller of the pair. The larger fish can often harm the smaller one if they have no place to direct their aggression.

Amphilophus fry are easy to feed. In an old established tank they'll pretty much graze on all surfaces. Frozen baby brine shrimp or frozen cyclopeeze (the best) is easy to feed. Crumbled flake food is fine too.

Congrats!

Congrats! They should do fine.My female F1 has always done great with her fry.Keep your temp at 82-83 for afew wks.And as was already mentioned feed crushed flake and baby brine shrimp after they are free swimming.Good Luck!

Hey that pair looks familiar! I believe that's the pair I had from Jeff. I gave them back to him a while back because I was drowning in Isletas fry! That girl lays more eggs at a time than two of my other pairs together! They look great, congrats! cchhcc is right, the cyclopeez makes them grow like mad!!
I kept some to raise for myself and some friends. Check out this guy, he's the biggest male they produced from the last spawn when I had them. After only a few weeks post hatching he was already at least twice the size of the rest of the fry!! :D
