Red isletas

I have had my 5/6in RI since he was a baby. He has always been in a 75g tank alone. Recntly his tank was moved next to a red devil/midas female. Since this he has stopped eatting. His hump has become large red swollen looking. Although he seems pretty happy i cant find any or much information about them online. So is he horny cause he sees a female now??? Is this what caused his hump to swell? He is about 2 yrs old so prob just coming into breeding age. When they were babies they shared a split tank for a few months. But she got under the barrier one day and he had her pinned. After that they never were in a tank together...
