A day or 2 ago my platysilurus mucosus started breathing heavily and was acting stressed, earlier today it developed some red around its pectoral fins and withing the last hour developed red lesions on its face and gills as well as just looking very sickly. I have tested the water multiple times throughout the day and it was water change day so 50% water change was done and everything looked normal. Is there anything that can be done?

Looks like septicemia. Could be viral or bacterial. Any new fish added? What’s the current stock? Try some maracyn2 and quarantine if able. Make sure it’s still eating.

No new fish added in 3+ years, and quarantine tank is currently occupied by my raiamas guttatus who is recovering from a swimbladder issue. The platysilurus will probably not make it, went downhill in just a few hours but will try treating
