Red light?

I’m thinking about getting a red light for nocturnal viewing, I’ve always believed fish can’t see red lights, but can anyone confirm this before I buy one?

I've read a article somewhere can't remember but they were using a red aquarium fish net. Stated fish can't see color red. I personally use the Blue moonlighting feature never seen a fish have issues with it.

I’ve seen those red nets for sale, but I don’t know if they work, or if they’re just making a buck off of the rumor about fish not seeing red. I did try to use the blue light but maybe mine is too strong because my fish seem to notice it. I might try the red light and see how it goes, I can grab one for only $7

I'm kind of skeptical of claims that fish can't see red, given I've played with my fish and had them chase and attack a red laser pointer.
