red-line, red-head severum id please

my lfs had 2 tanks, one with red-line severums, the other with red-head severums

problem is, both fish looked exactly the same

anyways i thought they look pretty cool so i bough one for 4.99

mine looks exactly like this except it has more dark stripes

i figure its the gold variety?

red head refers to rotkeil severums.

if it were gold it would be the yellow/gold color from the beginning

As stated above, the red head are rotkeils and the red line are most likely efasciatus. Both will look very similiar to green/turquoise severums until about 5 inches. Then they will start showing there red.

I hope it's a trustworthy lfs. Sounds like purely a sales pitch to label something "red line severum".
