red lump on the gills of my jag

so this may be causing his recent loss of appettite. although he did seem to be coming round a bit the last few days.

i noticed a light reddish lump poking out from the bottom of his gill plate. its say about 3mm and round. tried to get a photo but hes been hiding and the battery on my camera went flat so im working on it.

any ideas?
