RED PAIRADICE FISH

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
they are an anabantoid I do believe they are fairly aggressive to smaller fish and other paradise fish. They are closely related to the Betta Splendens and thus far are nest builders I haven't known of anybody breeding them but I am sure they breed readily under experienced care, also if you are looking to put them into a bowl or even a fully filled tank make sure that it has a good lid as they really like to jump...

I keep & breed paradise fish, both the blue/red & black varieties. they are the smallest fish I keep, though they can grow to 4" TL. I like them because they are a ZERO maintenance fish. I have absolutely NOTHING electrical running on their tanks and do water changes once a month. a nice break from the big brusier cichlids who need strong filtration, heat & maintenance every week. of the anabantoids, paradise fish are 1 of the "brusiers", able to dispatch bettas w/little effort.
