My red parrots laid a whole bunch of eggs on the driftwood today. I was wondering when is it safe to move it to maybe another tank?

How should i proceed? Its in with a bunch of other cichlids right now. It had done this before.. but the eggs were gone in 2 days (other fish ate it?).

thanks in advance!

lol the eggs got eaten last time because they werent going to hatch. parrot eggs cant hatch because the male is sterile. the ate them because fungus grew on them. theyre gonna be eaten again.

MALES are sterile most of the time. May have been fertilized by another cichlid in your tank.

If you have some convicts or citrinellum they can fertilize the eggs... The results are very similar to the Parrot parents. But I got parrot egg in my tank for many times and they have never developed...
