Saw this guy at the lfs...Read that they are kinda manic/insane....

Any ideas on what kinda Brycon this...I understand there are various sp.

I still can't tell the difference between a Brycon and a Dorado. Hopefully Chix (Rob the moderator) will see this and heklp out. He recently finished a sticky on the identification of Dorados which you can find HERE.

Dorado,while closely related are not brycons so I'm not sure how the information in that link helps here.If you look at the two different species enough you should soon be able to tell them apart.Anyhow,I've had this species of brycon before and they seemed to get more aggressive as they got comfortable in the tank so they behave pretty similar to Salminus that I have had in the past.The shops here always seemed to label them as some kind of barracuda rather than use the brycon name.

No problemo and once they settle in their colors start to show really nicely.
