my xbox just got them, i have 3 and the 2nd section one is not lit up, computer xbox website said it was overheated and to turn it off, etc. but it hasn't been on since yesterday. i'm bored as crap so if one of the gamer nerds could tell me how to fix it without shipping it out for a month i would be very gratful.

Shouldn't take a month, mine only took 4 days to get back. i went the route where i supplied my own box and just printed out one of their shipping labels. I guess it also helps that i live less than 300 miles from one of their service centers.

two xbox 360, and one elite all got the red eye. so far so good on my new elite. (finger crossed) just ship out.

ship it out, it doesnt take too long.
although, my bro shipped his out and got so impatient he went out and bought an elite.

ship it.if you open it and break the seal and cant fix it then your going to have to fork out some dough 4 a new 1.if u got the money then go get the 200 dollar arcade version and keep your hard drive.

grrrr...fine.....:irked:

microsoft adressed this problem with a handy little add-on, at your cost of course. they realised that the 360's had a heat problem so they developed an add-on fan unit. an example http://www.sourcingmap.com/intercoo...cooling-system-white-p-2883.html?currency=GBP

i know they fix your broken 360's but the problem will likely happen again because they dont provide a solution they just cure the symptom.
its one of the reasons i went to sony this console because they didnt modify the 360's to cope but just made an add-on you have to pay yet more money for.

those fans actually void warranty last time i checked. my 360 is fine after several years
