i have a 120 gal with a deep red growth on my rocks. when removed it comes up in sheets like paper. can anybody tell me what this is? thanks for the help.

does it look like this? cos i wanna know what this is myself... it started off like a red scale on a rock. its now about 6" wide and getting bigger.
could be cyano. It may also be coraline, although im not used to hearing about coraling, just coming off that easily. My vote goes towards cyano, but a pic would do the trick.
if it is cyano (red slime) then you will want to get to the root of the problem, not just fixing it for the time being. Id suggest looking at some previous posts about red slime.
