RED SEA MAX PLANT TANK LOG

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That is a really expensive plant tank! Looks good though and you don't have to deal with the protein skimmer dumping micro-bubbles into the tank.

Just curious to know what you think of the red sea tanks? i've seen them before and often wondered if they were any good?

Lol, that is the first thing I though too! That is an expensive, but nice, set up. I am looking at the Fluval Flora...actually I want the EBI but my LFS only carries the Flora. Same tanks though...

lol...wasn't that expensive...i'm very good friend with a LFS owner ;)

I have a NanoCube and the Red Sea Max...both are good systems but the Red Sea Max is better if you want to do reef since it comes with a protein skimmer and dual power heads.

Also the built in power strip is great, giving you full control of the nano. the built in timer is a plus too. The canopy is well designed for maintainance and scaping a reef or plants.

the taller red sea max gives you more room to play.

i know it sounds like i favor the red sea max and i do haha...BUT the nano is a simple system that serves its purpose well with more upgrades and retro on the market. Mainly with lighting. There isn't much for the red sea max other than LED retro kits.

at the end it depends on what you plan to do....
