Red Shoulder severum fry!

Been just over a week since my Sev's laid eggs...here are some pics of the happy family.

Wow, MFK is having its best severum breeding day ever! The adults are incredible looking. Are the fry picking at the sponge filter at all for food or just taking in what you give them? Congratz!

There are eating pulverized flakes as well as whatever is on the rocks and a filter pad from my fluval.

The sponge filter is new so there wasn't any good stuff on it. I put in some items from other tanks that seemed to have good growth on it.

I wasn't prepared to have to remove them from the parents...but it was mom and dads first time and the weren't removing them from their casings

They have grown from little tails to free swimmers in an uncycled tank....Used water from their tank and put some bio balls from the parents filter in....then crossed my fingers

Thank you .....sometimes when I look at the male and he is being still, he looks like a painting. The design on his face is in the shape of the taurus from the zodiac...he is very unique
