Alright, I had the beginnings of red slime breaking out in a tank I was working on. I HATE using red slime remover because I have had issues with it in the past and it doesn't actually take care of the problem. So I decided to try another approach. Seeing that it is a bacterial issue, I decided to try a broad anti-bacterial on it and it worked! I hit the tank with a 1/4 dose of E.M. I just got confirmation that it was all gone in only 3 days.

I pretty sure EM stands for Erythromycin, doesn't tint the tank as well, There's still the problem, do you have good water flow, or maybe the water conditions aren't right. I'm going through the same thing right now, water is good, just added 2 airstones for water movement

using a chemical is a quick fix try seeing where your dead zones are in the tank or add some more snail's like astrea's who love diatom's and red slime to keep it gone for good.
