Hey guys , im just thinking anyway to get my TSN more active when its feeding time? sometimes i throw it down straight infront of him and he just wont even bother chasing it. and sometimes when he does try to get it he almost got it in hes mouth but the the red SH rips it off him bascily and the TSN gets spooked by it. eventually he always gets food ofcourse but is there anyway to make him start bothering for the food more ?

feed red SH until it full before feed ur tsn. done it everyday to my SH and rtc. :D

How long have you had your TSN and what size is it? They are usually agressive feeders in my tanks (I currently have 7 of them and all of them are at the front of the line for food)

If your RTC isn't out competing your SH for food there is something wrong with your RTC ... But don't worry because the RTC will exact it's revenge by Eating the SH soon enough

this pretty much is the best way.

i cant wait when your TSN grows and look down on your SH saying looser! you steal my food ill eat you:headbang2 haha! just some crazy thought:D:D

Ive had it as long as i had the SH and theyr about same size TSN little bit smaller! im guessing the tsn is like 20-25cm perhaps cant really recall exactly when i got it around 4 months? i guess. and yea thats how i usally feed em last day the tsn was pretty active and actually swimmed a little bit to get the food! woho :P

TSN's can be lazy feeders. My previous TSN would strictly lay and prey and wait for his choice of feeder to come in front of him. He had to get a bit more active when I switched to frozen, but he didnt like to move.
I also kept RSH (when legal) and experienced the same problem. I just stuffed the snakehead and dispersed feeders as best as I could throughout the tank. Its kinda tough on the RSH actually, but you will prob have to do it to ensure your other fish get a chance.

Haha, so true.... sooner than later it think. SH is RTC food - good feeder too ^^ have never tried to feed a same length SH to RTC (something to try later i suppose), but smaller stuff is just anyother food for RTC.

What about night feeding?
