Dear readers,

I have recently got a red snakehead at 22inches. Since introducing into the tank almost a week ago he has not fed what so ever. Tried shrimp, worm and dead fish.

Had water checked and everything is fine. I have put in two goldfish and still nothing, which is pretty shocking as I have heard these fish will not tolerate many other species specially gold fish.

Any advise welcome please.

If he is 22 inches long he will be able to go a bit without food. i would just keep waiting

Ya he is probably just still adjusting to the tank. What size tank?

Well first of all your tank is probably 6x1.5x1.5 or so? So a 22 inch fish is pretty cramped. Although they are snake like so the have some good mobility the tank is still a little cramped.

Yes I understand, I am currently awaiting a custom build of 2000 litres.
So it will just be temporary. I'd like to thank you for your advise' I am new to this species of fish, so still some what of a learning curb
