Red Spot Gold Severum

First off, is "Red Spot Gold Severum the correct name or is this some type of hybrid? I've never seen them before. That is what the LFS called it. Anyway, I've had him/her for about two weeks now and the second day he got "ick". His fins don't look near as good as they did when I first got him. They almost look cloudy-like????? Well, here is the setup he is in for now:

10 gal.= I KNOW THE TANK IS TOO SMALL for a severum or pike, just temporary. Waiting on my 220 to cycle so I can bump up all my Baby Monsters!

78-80 deg.
PH about 6.6-7.0
GH 12

Everything else is in good shape, nitrites, ammonia, etc.

Water: 40% WC every week. Tankmates: 3" Orange Pike, 3" YoYo Botia, (2) Bumblebee Goby's

Up the temp of the tank to 85 degrees.

get the 220 cycled so the Pike can grow. it can easily get stunted in the 10.

for the ick, raise the temp as mentioned and add salt after ea wc.

and the Sev is either gold or red. so either the spots will take over or they will disappear.

Thanks. I had the temp. up to 83 when dosing for the "ick". He stayed near the top of the water all the time. I have two airstones going so I know oxygen isn't the problem. I'll have him in my 55 soon enough. Maybe he just doesn't like the small space.

I have seen large fish with the gold color and the red spots still there. Hand size for "large".
