Our red spot gold sevrum have spawned and it looks like the eggs may be fertile. I posted this quite some time ago but those eggs turned out to be no good so hopefully this time it wil work I know they are usualy sterile the males it would be nice to have a good one.

" I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! " and me to

Well we should know moday or tuesday if we will hatch any of them out about 70 percent of the eggs are still carmel colored so things are looking ok is it possible the rest could turn white over night.

It looks like about 10 percent of the eggs were good my wife noticed tails sticking out of them this evening definatly a positive sign anyway hope they keep developing. Do some eggs sometimes just die in the middle of the hatching time or is it just that they have weak sperm due to their being sterile most times.

We have got wigglers now my wife is hoping more than rwenty of them she said they are actually starting to swim around a bit.

Well they ate their first brine shrimp pieces today and swimming all over in their 20g tank I think this is one of biggest events since we started trying to breed fish .

I will get some pics when they are big enough to see just specs in the water right now my wife figures there are about 40 of them hope shes right they bring a good price around here want to keep a few back as 2 adults died fighting this week.

Only 1 of the fry left are these fish geneticaly weak because we started with about 50 wigglers or is it just because this was a first spawn?
