red spots on yellow lab

this morning saw reddish spots , on side of body. have never kept yellow labs before. what should i treat with. thanks

can you post pics? Are they tiny soft looking dots or big pimple like ones? If they are tiny dots that look like a sprinkling of cinnamon powder it is velvet, do the heat and salt treatment like for ich.
