Red spots

My Mbu seems to have some slightly raised red spots on his abdomen. My first thought was parasites so I gave the tank a low salt dose. Anyone know what this might be? There are about 5 or 6 dots, all localized in a smallish area. My first thought was velvet but the dots are too red and only in one spot.

that isnt a good sign. best would be to give it the old salt treatment. if that doesnt work. go buy some external parasitic meds. if the spots show i assume external? worth a try. meds wont kill ur fish, even if they dont have a disease. but a lot of people prefer not to use them.
