my red spotted sevrums lip look all the time was wondering if I should put them in there own tank

Is it a mating dance or something? I had 2 red severums that lip locked all the time and I thought they were fighting. I've read somewhere that almost all red spot severums are males because of the genes used to create the red spot sev, so it made sense to me that they were fighting.
no they don't hurt each other. I had a jack dempsy and green terror lock lips and you could teel that they were trying to hurt edach other
i have 8 red severums and they i have a few of them lip locking all the time theres 3 females that i can tell for sure becaues they have laid eggs im hoping that theres a few males in there so they pair up
