Okay, so I know my Rotkeil is male, and I always assumed my Red Spotted Severum was male since I heard they were almost all male. Turns out she was female and now I have eggs! I wish it had been my T. Maculipinnis pair that spawned but oh well. What is the verdict on this kind of cross? Is it somehow bad to raise and give away the offspring since they will be hybrids? Also, I JUST bought an albino bristlenose pleco a few days ago, so...I don't know if the eggs will last long enough to hatch. Here is a pic:

Grow out the best looking for yourself. Maybe send a few to trustworthy MFK members who want some. I wouldn't give any to a lfs. That is, if they are fertile.

I agree with this! it's important to try to keep the fish to their somewhat natural bloodlines..

The eggs were gone after a few hours, not sure if the parents or another fish ate them. Also, I'm not experienced enough to tell if they were fertilized. Oh well.
