so my 9 inch red tailed cat tried to swallow my 6 inch brand new ray. I was able to catch the catfish and yank it out but after a few hours hanging at the bottom, the ray passed. I’m clearly furious that I just threw 400 bucks down the drain, but anyway the ray could have injured that cat? I doubt it but just curious.

So mad!!!!!

He may have. I mean the entire ray was in his mouth. When I grabbed him in the net he puked it up. Any signs I should be looking out for?

I have had pacus, and an arapaima that got stung by Ray's before. No problems as long as it doesn't get infected. My fish all healed up and learned their lesson.

You're lucky the cat didn't get stung. You'd have lost them both.

That’s good news. Wish the ray survived. So mad. Nervous to try again. That’s a ton of money to dump. I’m sure I can a cheaper one it that black ray with white pearls is gorgeous. Now he’s down the toilet.

I tried keeping a rt/tsn with Ray's one time. Ray's didn't get enough food. Red tails r insatiable. Lol. will never try keeping Ray's and cats together again. Rt or tsn anyway. Good luck man.
