Red Tail Barracuda Question

I read that they are fairly non aggressive except to fish small enough to fit in their mouth. Is this the case? I also read they get to 10", is this the case in home aquaria?

I'm looking for a mid water oddball to go with my red wolf and I think this one could fit the bill.

they are shy and will dart across the tank when frighten

get to around a foot.
pretty hard to get of live.
arent aggressive.
can eat pretty long things.
