I had 2, they were brilliant fish. LIghtning fast.
BUT they would only eat live, I tried putting shrimp on a string and jiggling it, I tried dropping pieces of shrimp in front of a powerhead. Sometimes they would snap it and spit it out.
They only ever ate live fish and live river shrimp.
If you're willing to feed them only live, I recommend them thouhg, they are stunning.
PS - it's barracuda

I did get mine to eat Frozen lance fish but I had to throw it into the stream from the filter I found it had to be a silver fish and had to be moving also has success with white bate once again small strip thrown into the moving water from the filter outlet.
mess - how hard did oyu have to try to get him to eat dead stuff? Will he eat it even without dropping it in front of the filter flow?
If you REALLY want to feed them dead things it may take alot of starving to do it, but im sure they will eventually eat it as it will be the only thing offered
nope, no dropping in front of the flow. as soon as it hits the water he nails it. he will only eat maybe 2 pieces this way though. if it moves he nails it no matter the size
