Do red tail boas, require the same care as ball pythons except the fact they need a bigger enclosure. Also are the electronic thermoneters pretty acuarate,i bought one for my ball python.:headbang2

How many more animals are you going to get man? Youve got quite a reputation.

lol have you seen the past entries? I usually go back and read them when I am feeling blue. :(

In addition to size differences, their environmental needs (i.e. cage furnishings, climate, humidity, etc) are different.

So...before you ask, NO you cannot keep them together. If you're wondering why, I suggest you read the following thread: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64392

However, if you set-up a new cage, red-tailed boas are not any more difficult to keep than a BP in my opinion, as long as you account for their adult size. Male RTBs average between 5-6 ft, while females may routinely exceed 7 ft and are also much heftier. Of course, this all varies with local/subspecies.

... Don't get a boa. Really, if your mom freaked out over the Nile, she won't like the boa. They can be prone to biting around shed or feeding time.

Their care are completely different from Balls. My advice with you? While I may recommend it to other people, I would not do the same with you given the family situation.

They have different care to balls, and require a lot more room. To be honest, i'd be focusing on getting your ball python healthy.

How can we believe you?

Don't get a RTB, learn how to take PROPER care of the animals you have now before venturing into others.
