Hey Guys

I really really want a RTC. I keep mainly Gar's (Cubens, trop, Florida, LNG) And lower jaw bichir's.

I know that a lot of people say that RTC will eat anything that can fit into their mouths so dose the length even matter?

Will i be able to keep a RTC without worring so much?

Cheers!

it is kinda playing a danger game with the tank mate your listing if the cat is to small he will become food and if he gets to big his tank mates will be in danger. a lfs has two 4 footers in with some full grown pb's im guessing that thay ar about 18 inches or so with no problem but it is a 2000g tank i have learned with any fish there is always a risk it is weather or not you want to take it. i have a aligater gar that tried to eat a tsn that was the same size as he was, yet he is in a tank know with a 14" myan chiclid ,regal knife, and 10" pleco with no problum mind you the gar is almost 27". the biggest worry i would have is if your gars top out at 20 " or so what is going to happen when the cat is 4'+

Agree. ^ just keep in mind, if it fits in the mouth, it just may end up there. rtc's are very known for eating every kind of tankmate if it can fit in its mouth... it's a chance game,...
