Red tail catfish with nip fin

I got my red tail today but he has a nip fin will it grow back this seems like a noob question.By the way are usually not active at this age.

Its a baby hes about 2 in.

It will grow back fine, provided the bone has not been nipped off as well in which case it will grow fine up till the end of the nipped bone
