Obviously a Characin. What is it? One was in like a 10 gallon at the lfs with tiny 2" Angelfish. Oh, for the Angelfish, not for long. I bet they become feeders REAL soon...

Relatively slow growing. I have one in with my Armatus. Never gets below 5 inches of the water's surface. Thier mouths don't allow them to eat things that are real big.... Nibble but not eat.....

well...6 inch characin with 1 1/2'' slow moving cichlid...i wouldn't bet on the angelfish! btw obviously someone gave it up, just thrown into a random tank

Get it! They're definetly a neat fish. I've had mine for close to 3 years and its only 6 inches.

Mine is maybe 7" and eats f/d krill, various hikari pellets including carnivore sticks, and f/d earthworms. Once I got him out of the growout (55G) and into my 170G he grew a couple inches in a few months. Figure 1/2" or maybe a bit more a month, they can get up to 12". Cool fish but they're long distance swimmers, I wouldn't keep one in a tank less than 6' though you could maybe keep one in a 75G in a pinch. I found it to be very skittish in the smaller tank. Generally peaceful except with other chalceus, keep one or a group of 6+ to spread the aggression. My guess is it won't kill the angels but in that small a tank it may not feed and end up wasting away.
