all juvie silvbers have a red tail...some loose it when older some keep it...depends on what you feed it.

Keep feeding your silver aro with food that contained lots of carotene. The fins will turn pinkish red except for the pectoral fins. If they are lacking in carotene the fins turns to pale yellow.

I was under the impression that there are two types of Silver Aro, those with predominantly silver colouration are called Asian silvers or something, and those with red on the fins are called Brazilian Reds.
