If you want the smallest kind you can get. Purchase a male central american. It shouldn't get over 6-7 feet long.

Make sure the cage is 6 fet long, 2 feet wide and 2 feet tall. With a large enough water bowl for it to soak in and logs and branhces for it to climb on. Mine stays on his branch all day.

Hot side should be 90-92 and the "cool" side should be not les then 82. At night, all of my heaters are turned off but the room doesn't go bellow 75 degrees F.

ok sounds good

If you are looking to stay small, hog island's are supposed to stay small and have interesting color. Although anything can happen, i had to get rid of mine a while back. It ate really well and i hear its around 7.5' now.

I own one of those too. Not much difference in length but like 1/2 the girth when adult. Great snakes none the less, pretty much same requirements.

To the starter of the thread....

You said you want a "big" snake. How big are we talking about here? So far you want the smallest of a species and that's not always reliable when aiming at a specific size.

I was just getting ready to ask this same question. I finally talked the old lady into a big snake!!! Rep, I'll hopefully soon be getting in touch with you. You ship to FL?
