Red Tailed Chalceus little tiger fish?

Hey does anyone out there know if red tailed Chalceus are basically directly related to Goliath tiger fish. Because they look very similar in my opinion, maybe they both had the same commen ansestor? Just look at the similarities.

They are both Characins for sure. I'm sure have a common ancestor. Oddball may be able to answer ur question a lot better.

Thanks, yah my red tail is pretty healthy... And the plant is fake, every time someone sees the fake plant they're like is that a real plant, LOL.
