red talenthera?

When I was growing it required strong lighting. Low wattage made it leggy and green instead of red. Keep it trimmed to get bushiness.

my tank is going to be heavily planted but i think my four silverdollars might help trim the plant but not too much since the tank is going to have massive amazon swords, ocelot swords as well as alot of micro swords and my silver dollars hardly ever eat plants i have an amazon sword in there right now and they hardly do anything to it instead they are constantly competeing with my payaras and barracuda over silversides, krill and massivore pellets and i keep some lettuce on a clip in the tank, anyway are there any fertalization related things i need to know

telanthera is an easy to grow plant but does better with high light and co2 injection. That being said, it will likely grow fine so long as it gets adequate light and is not shaded by the swords.

I've grown it in my tanks they do need strong lighting. I wouldn't put Silver dollars in the tank they eat plants.

ive had plants in my tank with them before they ate one plant but only after several mounths ive pretty much turned them into carnivores they prefer massivore pellets, flakes, veggie wafers and whole silversides to any plants or greenery ive put lettuce in and they ignore it
