A Watery Grave
My red tapajos has some white silky looking covering over her forehead...

i've added pimafix to my tank.

What else may i need to do?

pictures please...?

In the meantime... temp up a little bit, and add some salt. NOT TABLE SALT! And do double the water changes than before, but remove the same amount of water.

Uh-Oh,there was someone on here who had these SAME PROBLEMS like 3-4 months ago......same fish, same velvet on its head....are these pikes super-venerable or sumthin'?

See,i knew i wasn't CRAZY!! This was Hadrians Pike (My newly beloved Tapajos is doing really badly. Here are some shots of his eroding head. He is still active and eating well but.... I feel cursed with the pikes. The water conditions are solid. I have treated with Metro and then Mela and Pima fix. He lives in a 125 with a H. Bocourti and an electric blue dempsey. The latter are supposedly pretty sensitive and he's fine and happy. I don't know what I've done wrong.)

Try neosporin. Ive heard of it being used on fish.

just an update...

the infected area now looks clearer...

if its still infected by tmw i will repeat the process again and then after another 24hrs will apply a powdered medication on it.
