I was wondering I have a pair of red terrors and a pair of red tigers could in put a divider in the tank and put a pair on each side would they be fine or would there be trouble
You will want a sturdy divider if the red tigers get in with your terrors they will kill them. It would be best to use 2 seperate tanks and they should be 78 gallon or bigger. A 6 foot tank is best with both these fish but sometimes a 4 foot will work.
I agree that it might work in a 6ft tank, or larger.
And with a very strong divider. Anything smaller would be like trying to keep a pair in a tiny tank.
Beside the vertical wall (for large strong species) I always zip tie some extra pieces, and also zip tie some horizontal pieces where rocks can be placed to stabilize the thing.
and if the tank has a overlapping rim, cut notches to friction fit the egg crate at the tank top
Ya, that would be a blood bath if they got together. It would be close, but if they were full grown I'd say the festae would probably shred the rtm's in the end.
Festae are badass when they fight, I had a 10" male fighting a 10" butti for dominance on a few occasions. They fought for 10+ minutes at a time!
Have a few videos on my YouTube channel, they lived together peacefully most of the time tho so don't flame me for videoing the hierarchy change.
