Red terror cichlids

How big do red terrors get? Would a pair b good in a 55g tank? Like these guys and want to get a pair so looking for any info on them.

55 is too smal for a pair of terrors.

75 gallons for single specimen, 100+ minimum for a pair full grown. They can be bred in a 75 but need a bigger tank long term.

They grow slow though so you could house a couple til about 6-8" IMO but after that I'd upgrade.

OK I'm in the process on getting a 180 gallon so the 55 would only b for growing out a little. I did some research after I posted this and all your comments are exactly what I read on tank size. What do you look for when it comes to good quality breeding so when I do purchase one I know I'm getting a good quality vocalists.

If you want high quality and have the dough, you can order from Jeff Rapps at TUIC. Also tend to be a lot of fish sellers from Florida as well.
