Red terror. Has a gash on it side

I just noticed my red terror has a gash on it side I think it's from a sharp piece of driftwood I have because I have one facing up stupid me . She is doing good she is eating and being herself swimming after other fish can someone give me a idea of the best thing I can do to help. She is breathing a little heavy thanks .

That happened to one that I had a few years back . Unfortunately, she didn't make it. I hope yours does. Best of luck.
