Red Terror info.

i just recently got an F0 male red terror (festae cichlid). i was wandering if they can be kept w/ any tankmates? if so what would work well? i had it w/ my young silver aro and it beat the crap out of it. also how big do they get?

in a big tank it can be kept with many fish. red devils/midas other terrors red or green if the tanks a good size, jags,dovi trimac, buttikoferi,haitenis
fish will get along in a huge tank but id say if it killed your arrow then your tank isnt big. which means that should probably be your only fish.
meybe in a 150 180 you can add a female rt.
these beasts will grow to about 16 inches give or take, and they are monsters

Even then, you'll need to keep a divider.

i have one in a sa/ca community and she's doing fine.....so far it's been close to a year so i think it's safe

That's actually a Uro, not a Festae. Note the large tail spot and lack of "Y" bar behind the head.

Definitely a Uro pictured above and this thread has my male and female in it. They are not full grown by any means but exhibit mature coloration
