Sorry i know how dumb a question this may sound. I mean i kinda know the answer, but i'll never be sure unless i ask.

Is a Red Mota and a Red Terror the same fish, sometimes i read entries hear about peoples Red Mota, or people referring to Red Mota's, when encouraging people on what fish to get

They're the same right?? Sorry if my question is dumb and obvious.

two diff fish.... Google the images bro.. theres no stupid questions.

Parachromis (Red tiger) Motaguense
Cichlasoma festae (Red Terror)

Yes they are all different fish.

Thanks Everyone for replying =) Really good to know, lucky i asked, even if i felt a bit foolish.

LOL i know, all these abbreviations get my head spinning. Especially in the Hybrids section, there already enough Flowerhorn strains to get most people lost, and then for each of those strains there seems to be some short form.

But yeah, i tried googled at first, and it didnt quite work, same fish kept coming up, so i was getting confused, hence why my first post i assumed they were the same. And even funnier i thought the "Mayan" was yet again another fish.

Just to explain why i asked in the first place, i saw some "Red Terror/Festae" at the FS and i almost bought it, only thing stopping me was short on money, not really cheap for $40 at 2.5inch.. LOL so i held back. Although, i had seen some Adult Red Motas, i thought they were the same and i reallly reallly reallly wanted one, im a huge fan of the Jags and Dovii (Parachromis) cichlids. And as 'gran charismo' had said you don't find them here. But i was also unaware you could get Red Terror festae here, and i'd also seen pictures of them.. i really don't know how i ended up confusing them but yeah.. Sorry long story but yeah.

While i'm on the subject though, Does anyone think i should still get the Red Terror, they seem really cool as well, and the colors look amazing, Can anyone give me some input and advice on what they're like to keep??

THANK YOU and sorry for long long post.

sorry incase of confusion, i saw the Red Motas in pictures only, not in real. I'd probably had bought it straight away.
