Don't "wander" too much dude, you might get yourself lost! :screwy:

To answer your question, I think you may need a bit more room for a pair of festaes. They can get very aggressive, especially during breeding, and may need a little more room than that.

just rt males get to 16", said to get to 20" though i have never seen visula proof of that, and females get to like 13", so you'll need like 180+ gallons for a pair., i'm not sure how fast that grow

They grow about an average rate, and youd need a 125-150 min. for a pair IMHO. But man, you need to give that tank to the trimac in your siggy, they get too big for a 55. If you dont btw, he will kill everything else.

i know the trimac will be going in a 125 when hes bigger so ill scratch the red terror idea

My breeding pair of FH's are in a 75. The only way I am able to get away with it is that I put in a hollow fake log that is big enough for the female to retreat into but too small for the male to fit his fat butt into. Without that log, she would be dead meat. This set-up has worked for almost 3 years now.

Imo they grow at below average rate....very slow growers indeed. :)

I agree, when I first got my flowerhorns, I also got 2 festae and after about 3 months, the FH's were 3 times the size of the festae.
