Wow that actually looks beautiful. I’ve got a Kirin parrot I believe is female because of she has flower pattern on her top fin and a red Texas but I’m not sure the sex if it’s a male it would be pretty cool to breed the too when they reach that maturity 7D8AF899-243C-4FEE-BBF5-98C978DE5E7B.jpeg 670C9C3A-2240-439D-9DE1-81BD239DEBBA.jpeg 603238F8-23B5-48CB-AAEE-488152F4945E.jpeg 3AA8639C-6AD1-44D5-8763-AB2EAC24B93D.jpeg C8A05C88-1FCB-4694-AEEE-8845B344069D.jpeg

Its really difficult to determine gender of almost any variety of Texas Cichlid until they reach maturity. My Red Texas is less than a year old and is getting big, nearly nine inches. At about three inches it was obvious that the RT was not going to be a community fish. I assumed he was a male due to the "Extreme" aggression. His nuchal hump became noticable at about the six inch mark. Judging by the shape of your Red Texas, I'm guessing male. Females tend to have a more bullet shape. Hope your plan works out.
