I have a red texas female and carpintis male that have spawned and are taking turns guarding/fanning the eggs. Since a RT is part carpintis, will the fry grow to mostly look like carpintis?
If any of you have bred this combo before, what do the babies turn out to look like?

Mixed bag of faders and regular, mostly regular, body shape and pearls should carry over from both parents assuming they are of similar build.

i agree with u Mattyou !
i had to keep 3 out of 150 fry and i'm still wating to fade !!
the body shape is the same like the texas !

They will be 50/50. They call them Red texas when they are like that. They will become/call super red texas (SRT) once they start peeling.

So.. Red texas (RT) is SRT x with texas or SRT x with parrot all unfaded
SRT is when they peeling

what do u call this an RT or SRT?
thats one of 3 that im thinking to buy from a friend of mine!

Im not really sure what you just said there but there is a distinct color diference in fully mature Red Texas and Super Red Texas when it comes to color. So many people are pawning Reds as Supers, it almos as distinct a difference as a Gold Severum next to a Super Red Severum.
