Wow, they starting fading fast once they got over there. The big male is looking good, I was hoping he would fade soon, he was showing such nice red undertones. I see my favorite 'female' is pictured too, third photo down, I always liked her patterning.

Yeah hunter I have been using all my knowledge about fading blood parrots and midas to help them out with that. They started all in the same tank... then I took out the dominant one.. now i've been switching them around between texas community and a divided tank. I put the most docile ones together in a 30 for a couple days until one becomes the alpha fish and starts being real agressive. Without fail the next day that one will be waay more faded than the rest. Then I move it to its own divided tank. So the top one the big one and the orange female are by themselves (the big one is in with my parrots).. and the remaining large four are in the 30 right now deciding who fades next. The runt has been in with the short bodies all this time.

Suprisingly i have noticed that the ones with the most pearl are the most agressive. I guess this makes sense though because the faders would have more blood parrot genes. The one that is all orange with a little pearl (the first pic) is the least agressive despite being the one that looks most like a red devil.

So I was thinking of putting the faded ones in with a dither fish but because of how i raised them they will be real agressive. What do you think... blood parrots convicts or red devils?

I'm trying to manage keeping the two 75g tanks and the 125g. We tore down the 125 and gave it a complete cleaning already, and it's just been 'cycling' empty for the past week until I have time to finish working on it. I'm keeping the bb alive by using the filter media in the quarantine tank with platies and then I will lightly stock it when I am ready.

So far I have been able to manage the two 75g tanks with the flowerhorns, but barely. I need to do some cleaning this weekend in both and do a water change of course. If someone made me the right offer on buying it all I would sell it though and focus on the 125, but I do like the flowerhorns a lot and I'm not going to go out of my way to sell them at this point.
