Red texas help.

Ok so i have this red texas i picked up from petsmart a while back probably a month and a half ago haha and the thing is he is overly aggressive to fish i put in with him except a gold jack dempsey blue gene which i think is a girl but is as small as the size of half my pinkie any clue why? Here is a picture

He does not see the fish as a threat yet. The reason for this could be many things from your thoughts of it being a female to its size to it simply not looking at your texas wrong. Could you post better pics of the texas because it kinda looks like it has an egg tube dropped down in the pic which would mean female not male. If it is a she getting ready to lay it would be another reason for its tolerance right now as most of my red texas females get real slutty if they do not have a mate and want to spawn. I even had two normal texas females kept together in a 55 that would take turns playing girl and spawning in their pot.
 
Lol i think the tube is dropped haha it might be a girl but i have nth to spawn it. Was wondering why it looked like an intestine was hanging out

I would say green texas blood in it but with not knowing the genetics behind it I do not think we can pinpoint which local was used. For all we know it could be from a red texas female back to another strain/local texas or the original green texas used might have been a mix of type. It does look like it has the potential for the spangles to grow almost together going on the size of the face spangles.
