Not sure what to do to help this guy ( if he can be helped ) he got bloated around 2 weeks about hasn't eaten since. Been doing water changes every day and added some epsom salt about 1 and 1/2 TBS to the 10 gallon tank. Also added some jungle parasite clear at first but didn't help so added some activated carbon to filter it out

Now he looks like this it turned into a very extended bump one person told me to lance it or stabb it with something don't think thats a good idea though

i slammed and smashed one of my favorite fish from this.

The fish in the picture does not look like a Red Texas to me.. It looks more like a FH but as for treatment.. Try adding Macryn 1 and 2. Keep up with the epsom salt if you'd like. Does it still eat?

agreed^. can you get a better pic, that doesn't look at all like a RT

Probably another one of the 'dwarf neon texas' and similar crosses around lately. I bought one to see what it becomes.

Aside from a short bath in brine I don't know what else to try for that kind of infection. Clout maybe.

I'm just about possative its not a real red texas ( got it at petsmart ). I'll try to get a better pic and no its not eating and hasn't in about 2 weeks so hes really skinny.

This was the best i could do for now, its not as white any more a piece of white crap fell off it today

No eating, large tumor looking lump, new fish with unknown history, no improvement in health after trying a few treatments and unknown medical condition.... It may not be a popular answer but I would consider putting it so sleep in the freezer and return it to Petsmart before your two weeks are up for a refund.

Looks like a weird hybrid to me. Anyways, I have to agree with lusus :( That might not be something that will ever heal and it may be in pain.

Doesnt look good. I would put it down as well. Tank water and fish in a ziplock bag with some clove oil tossed into the freezer. Good luck with whatever you end up doing with it.
