Red Texas or Flowerhorn?

So.....got this guy from petsmart the other day. He's about 3.5 inches, and very reddish. Is he a genuine red Texas or another petsmart Kamfa? Thanks in advance!

I'm leaning towards a Flowerhorn. This is a pic of my Petsmart, unfaded female Red Texas Cichlid. Quite a difference. Either way you have a very pretty fish

Kamfa. But the face does deff look texas with all the pearls. Very pretty fish

Petsmart flowerhorn. Nice pearling, finnage, and solid flower line.

Difficult to tell without seeing the parents or asking the breeder. It should be easier to guess when it's grown out a bit more. What was it listed as at petsmart? It could even be a RTH. Really nice looking fish though.

Listed at Petsmart as a Red Texas.

I have the same question about my fish. But mine wasnt purchased so young so i dont know what he looked like that small. He is larger now and i would love if the label it was sold under is correct. He was darker when he was younger.

That looks like a Faded Flowerhorn. Nice fish.
